A History Of Scotland - Rage Music

"Engrossing, atmospherically shot and scored" - The Scotsman

Label:        BBC Music/Rage Music
Mixed:       Rupert Coulson at Terminal Music, Glasgow
Mastered:  Graeme Duffin, The Foundry Music Lab

Perhaps a little self-indulgent to be playing one of our own soundtracks, but having been recently referenced by a producer, we found ourselves listening back to this – and still loving it.

The opportunity to create almost 10 hours worth of original orchestral music is something that doesn’t happen often, and we relished every minute of it. Recording the 90-piece Scottish Symphony Orchestra in the Grand Hall of Glasgow’s City Halls (famed for its acoustics) was a particular treat.

The treats kept coming, as we were asked to create a suite to be performed at an exclusive concert held in the Grand Hall of the 900-year-old Stirling Castle. The suite toured with a string section, playing historic sites across the UK including the Culloden battlefield and BBC's Proms In The Park.

Edinburgh’s Usher Hall also played host to the BBC SSO who performed the suite during a concert which was broadcast live on BBC Radio Scotland as part of the Scotland’s History Festival.
